My first TICONDEROGA pencil

 The first resource I am going to review is the pencil my little one is using. As trivial as it looks , a good pencil is essential to develop a good grip leading to good handwriting. A toddler's hand bones are not fully developed like an adult's and hence they cannot hold/grip anything with the same steadiness as an adult  or in fact even like a 6yr old (when most of the bones develop).  So thus began my search for the appropriate instrument for my lil bub which would start her journey into the world of learning. After much research online and reading a lot of forum posts, I realized toddler pencils need to have the following characteristics: 1. Need to be larger for better grip 2. Journey of this indomitable mom - path to homeschooling

As a  working mom of 2 toddlers the journey post Covid  has been even more challenging as it left me working from home, with 2 young kids ,who needed all my time and attention.  Looking back, I can say that daycares have been a blessing to most of us working parents , as it helped us focus on stresses of work and above all gave us the precious "Me time" which we crave for , so often. I can safely say this is even more true for working moms, and more so for moms of younger kids who need all the energy in the world to keep going. As Covid derailed life in general, moms all over dealt with this great crisis using great innovations (I believe God gave us extra reserves of everything , which manifest during crisis).  I am no different. I was left with a toddler who was about to enter PreK and a younger one who was starting to speak and was learning new things.
